Stefan Linquist's Academic Homepage

Stefan received a B.A. (hon.) in philosophy from Simon Fraser University and an MSc in biology from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Working in the lab of David Sloan Wilson, Stefan conducted research on domain-specific learning in octopus dofleini and in guppies.  His masters thesis explores the role of modularity in evolutionary psychology and animal learning.

Stefan received a PhD from Duke University in 2005.  His doctoral research examines human emotions from an evolutionary perspective.  Stefan is co-founder of the Ucluelet Aquarium Society on Vancouver Island, ; the society’s aim is to promote public awareness of marine biodiversity and the ways it is impacted by human activity.
